What the game stores, shares during connected play, and lets a family remove.

For children
Your game is saved on this device. We do not get your name or see your game. Ask a grown-up before you share a card or play with another device.
Operator and contact
Chronicle of Brothers, LLC, Los Angeles, California, USA, operates Lucas & Thomas on iPhone and iPad. Parents can use this contact for privacy questions or requests about a child's information.
Privacy and support email: contact@chronicleofbrothers.com
Data on your device
To continue play, the game stores entered player names, progress, settings, recovery data, named adventure checkpoints and a random room-play identifier in local game storage. We suggest a nickname rather than a child's real name. The host keeps shared checkpoints on its device. Records remain until deleted, overwritten or cleared by the device. No game account is required.
Connected play
Play in "2 Players · Nearby" on the same Wi-Fi network advertises only a neutral room code and service details, not player or adventure names. Connecting devices use network addresses and temporary certificates. After both people confirm the pairing code, they exchange a random player identifier, career summary, actions and game state over an encrypted connection.
Play does not need a Chronicle-operated cloud relay. iOS asks once for permission to use the local network; without it, play in "2 Players · Nearby" over Wi-Fi is not available.
Cards and support messages
A builder card shows the player's progress and the first word of the player's nickname (up to 12 characters). Before a builder card is saved or shared, and before any outside link or email opens, the game asks a question meant for an adult (a short arithmetic task). It is a simple check to keep young children from doing this alone, not a verification of identity or age. The game does not request age information from Apple. The card is saved or sent only where you choose in the device's own save or share window, which may offer local or cloud storage. Copies outside the game are controlled by the chosen app or recipient.
Support is for adults. If you email us, your email provider and our mailbox provider, which acts for us, process the message. Chronicle of Brothers, LLC uses the sender's address and the message only to answer the request and to meet related legal duties, based on our legitimate interest in answering you. We are in the United States and handle messages there. We delete a support email within 12 months after the request is closed, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. If we learn that a child wrote to us, we reply once if needed and then delete the child's message and address. Do not send unnecessary details about a child.
Deletion and backups
"Delete player" or the in-game "Factory Reset" removes current game records on that installation. Neither removes another device's data, exported cards or device backups.
Game saves are app data on the device. Depending on the device settings, they can be included in backups of the device, including iCloud Backup, and restoring such a backup can bring back older or deleted records. Deleting the game, or losing, resetting or replacing the device, may permanently remove saves that are not in a backup. In-game reset does not reset the device. Use "Delete player" or "Factory Reset" again to remove restored records.
Camera, microphone, and services
The game does not send any information to Chronicle of Brothers or to advertising or analytics companies, and we do not sell personal information. The game has no ads, analytics, accounts, chat, public profiles or in-app purchases. Nothing is published by the game itself; a builder card leaves the game only when someone saves or shares it. Photo-style scenes use game artwork, not the camera or microphone.
Your privacy rights
You can ask us for a copy of a support message and the data in it, or ask us to delete it or stop using it. Write to contact@chronicleofbrothers.com from the address you used and say which message you mean. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to a data protection authority, for example where you live; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office. Game records stay on your devices and are not sent to us, so you remove them yourself, as described under "Deletion and backups".

The date above is the effective date of this notice. When this notice changes, the new version carries a new date and appears in the game and on our website. If a change affects what information is handled, we will tell the app stores before the change applies, where the law requires it.
